Daith is a piercing located on the ridge of cartilage closest to your ear canal between the lower part of the helix and the upper tragus.

The piercing is through a thick section of cartilage and although it looks deep, pain should not be too bad and always remember how it will look when completed.

Daith piercings could be healed in as litlle as 6 weeks but could take between 3 and 6 months to fully heal if complications arise. Remember that the Daith piercing is close to the ear canal so will attract dirt and germs, it is most important that the area is kept clean at all times during the healing process. Follow any aftercare advice that your piercer gives you and always feel that you can go back to them if you feel you have a problem.

Suitable jewellery for Daith Piercings are:

The Daith piercing is typically 1.2mm (16 gauge) with ring diameters of 8mm (5/16") and bar lengths of 6mm (1/4")
