The Pinna is a piercing to the outer rim and close to the top of the ear. It is similar to a Helix piercing but is slightly higher up the the earlobe.
This again is a cartilage piercing but they tend to hear quicker and can use a large variety of jewellery to suit many styles. Suitable types of jewellery can be rings, small barbells, labret studs and specially designed ear cuffs.
By using jewelled balls you can really change the look of your piercing for little money.
Typical diameters for rings and horseshoes would be 10mm or 12mm and the length for flat back studs is usually 6 or 8mm.
This ear piercing can be 1.2 (16 gauge) or 1.6mm (14 gauge).
