Micro Curved Bars

Micro curved barbells, also known as micro bananas, are a type of body piercing jewellery that is specifically designed for delicate piercings. They are much smaller in diameter than standard barbells, typically ranging from 0.8mm (18 gauge) to 1.2mm (16 gauge) in thickness. The barbell itself is also shorter, with lengths typically starting around 6mm.

Micro curved barbells are made from the same materials as standard barbells, such as implant grade titanium or surgical steel. They are also available in a variety of styles, including internally threaded and externally threaded. Internally threaded barbells are considered to be safer for healing piercings, as there are no threads on the outside of the jewellery that can irritate the skin.

Micro curved barbells are suitable for a variety of piercings, but they are most commonly used for eyebrow piercings, tragus piercings, and labret piercings. They are also a good option for people who have had piercings that have shrunk over time and can no longer accommodate standard jewellery.

Here are some of the benefits of using micro curved barbells:

  • They are more comfortable to wear than standard barbells, especially for people with delicate piercings.
  • They are less likely to irritate the skin.
  • They are a good option for people who want a more subtle look.

However, there are also some drawbacks to using micro curved barbells:

  • They can be more difficult to insert and remove than standard barbells.
  • They are more likely to come out of the piercing than standard barbells.
  • Because of their small size, they can be more difficult to clean.
